Despite the posts you’ve read on homemade products (lip scrub, lip balm and brush cleaner and eyeshadow palettes), I am not a crafty person. In fact, I quite openly despise the majority of crafts and creative projects. This is mainly due to my lack of patience, as well as, I’ll be honest, lack of skill, when it comes to sewing, painting, scrapbooking, and the like.
But what I do enjoy is crafts that have practical uses, rather than decorative merits. Enter: the headband holder.
I love a good headband, but I don’t love the lack of a convenient and consolidated method to store them. Until now!
I made this about two years ago, and I honestly can’t remember where I found the directions. But honestly, I’m sure that I began this project thinking “This will be fun! I will follow every step of these directions and the result will be a perfect little headband holder,” and then midway through this craft abandoning all instructions and trying to finish as quickly as possible (Like I said, I’m impatient).
-Scrapbook paper (or any other decorative paper)
Here’s my version of the directions: Coat oatmeal container with Mod Podge. Attempt to cut scrapbook paper to fit on oatmeal container. Throw down scissors and paper in frustration. Mentally reassure yourself that you CAN finish this craft. Carefully press down the paper along the oatmeal container. Let dry. Congratulate yourself for actually finishing.
Here’s what mine looks like (also, do not laugh at my attempt to artsy, creative pictures outdoors):
And here’s what it looks like with my headbands on it:
AND, if you stand it up on it’s side, you can use it for storage!
