If you’ve read any of my past couponing blog posts, you know that I’m all about the inexpensive, thrifty deals and steals! It’s in my blood, and I’m proud of it.
One of the easiest stores to find AMAZING deals at is Bath & Body Works (aka my favorite store, after Kohl’s). I have literally NEVER paid full price for any product at this fine scent shop, and the best part is that anyone can do the same! With the plethora of coupons, sales and promotions that are perpetually happening, it’s ridiculously simple to acquire products for dirt cheap.
Here are my tips for getting the most bang for your buck:
1) Travel Size Coupons=your new best friend
*NOTE-BBW has not had Free travel size coupons lately, but there are many other valuable coupons that can be found on retailmenot.com*
B&BW almost always has a coupon for a FREE travel size item available (find up-to-date B&BW coupons HERE). Typically, these coupons are for a FREE travel size item (regular price $5.00 each) with ANY purchase.
Do you know what that means? You can buy the cheapest item in the store (the holder for Pocketbac Hand Sanitizers) and receive a FREE 3 oz travel size lotion, shower gel or spray. The total cost? .54 cents!
And the best part of all? With this coupon, you can pay $1.62 total for the equivalent of a full size lotion or body spray! Let me illustrate:
Buy 3 Pocketbac Holders for .50 cents each (in separate transactions since only one coupon is allowed per purchase:
.5o cents each
Get THREE FREE Lotions/Travel Sprays
.50 for the PocketBac holder – cost of travel size item ($5.00) + tax= .54 cents
.54 x 3=$1. 62
Therefore, if you pay $1.62 for 3 PocketBac holders, you will receive the three free travel size items which is equal to 9 oz of product-and a full size B&BW lotion or body spray is 8 oz (and regular price $10.50 for the lotion and $12.00 for the body spray!!).
The same principle can be used to purchase shower gel, except in order to receive the equivalent of a full size shower gel (10 oz), you would need to purchase 4 PocketBac holders to receive 4 free travel size shower gels (12 oz of product).
2) Survey Coupons are not to be ignored
Survey coupons randomly print out on the bottoms of B&BW receipts, and if you’re lucky enough to get one, you can purchase many items around $20!
If you do receive a survey coupon on your receipt, all you need to do is call the toll free number and answer some questions about your experiences in the store. After your answer all the questions, you will be provided with a code to write down on your receipt. Then, simply bring the receipt with the code into the store to receive $10 off of any $30 purchase.
This coupon is great without any sales, but the best time to use a survey coupon is during a Buy 3, Get 3 free sale on Full Signature Collection Full Size products.
Yes, I know I just unveiled my ultimate secret saving tip for B&BW, which involves travel size products. But sometimes, you need gifts, a pick-me-up, etc. This sale occurs occasionally. Here’s how to get 6 FULL SIZE products for $20:
Buy 3 full size (8 oz) lotions:
The survey coupon can be used on any products, anytime as long as the total is over $30. So, you could buy 30 PocketBac hand sanitizers and one PocketBac holder (to push the total over $30). Or you could buy 61 PocketBac holders…..that’s a little ridiculous, but you get the point. Cherish your survey coupons!
3) Always wait for sales
B&BW is literally ALWAYS holding some type of sale or promotion, so if you have your eye on an expensive or full price item, have some patience and you will most likely be able to purchase the product for much less.
**Addition-The Semi-Annual Sale (or Hello Yellow Sale) is held twice per year. Once in the weeks immediately after Christmas, and once during June/July. This is an ideal time to stock up on products at ridiculously reduced prices!
Reasons for these discounts during the sale include:
-Soon-to-be discontinued products
-Already discontinued products only brought out during the sale
-Old packaging on products
-Random sales that BBW decides to have on current merchandise
